Arranging your outdoor space

Arranging your outdoor space

Summer has well and truly arrived, bringing with it the desire to go out and enjoy the beautiful sunny days. Today, the outdoors has become a true extension of the home, where you can give free rein to your decorating desires.

Whether you have a large garden or a small terrace, we give you some ideas to create a warm atmosphere and organize a beautiful space.

Define the spaces

Lunch with friends or afternoon rest... If you have enough space, you can organize your outdoor area into different spaces: a dining area with a large table for entertaining and a relaxation corner where you can lounge at any time of the day. Install a sun lounger or a floor mattress with a few cushions for a decorative touch to create a lovely resting space.

As for furniture, the possibilities are varied: armchair, lounge chair, coffee table, garden set... Imagine your outdoor space as you would arrange your interior.

Accessorize with decorative objects

Because it's not reserved only for the interior of the house, decoration takes up its summer quarters as soon as the good weather arrives. Cushions are thus installed in garden sets and on benches to bring style to your outdoor space.

If you opt for a coffee table or a side table, why not add a few elements to accessorize it? Vases, small dishes, decorative objects... Accumulate pieces as you desire. To bring a bucolic and romantic touch to your decor, try a birdcage and place a few objects or flowers inside.

The decoration also reaches new heights thanks to hanging lights, which give the outdoor space a whole new dimension.

On the terrace, rugs also find their place. Colorful, made of jute, or in a Berber style, they bring personality and character to outdoor decoration.

ENHANCE WITH PLANTS AND FLOWERS

Whether you have a small terrace or a large space, plants are essential for creating a pleasant outdoor area. However, they must be chosen according to various criteria, such as the size, exposure, or sunlight of your outdoor space.

If it's in full sun, opt for plants that don't fear the heat, such as orange trees or laurel flowers. If you lack space, choose bougainvillea or jasmine, which will bring greenery to a wall.
For shadier spaces, ferns are perfectly suitable and don't fear the lack of sunlight.

And if you want to add a rustic and floral touch, bouquets also have their place outdoors: on a pedestal table, a windowsill, or a coffee table, they will make a statement in a pretty vase.

Play with light

To enjoy long sunny evenings, outdoor lighting is an essential criterion. In addition to your classic wall lights, you can add a warm and friendly touch with lanterns or candle holders.

Candles also provide soft, intimate lighting, perfect for a romantic evening.

In both small and large spaces, decoration takes its place outdoors to allow you to fully enjoy beautiful summer evenings. Whatever your style, arrange your terrace or garden according to your desires to create a true little nest.
